LIGHTech in the News: Press Release Oct. 3, 2001 LIGHTech Fiberoptics, Inc. Announces the Smallest 1x2 Switch
San
Leandro, Calif., October 3, 2001 -- LIGHTech Fiberoptics,
Inc, the premier, quality source for optical switching components, variable
optical attenuators, integrated optical modules and test equipment, announces
the LT210 series of small form factor, opto-mechnical switches, at today’s
ECOC conference in Amsterdam. The LT210
product series, with its industry leading form factor height of 5.5mm, also
achieves world class switching speed of 5ms. LIGHtech’s LT210 provides low insertion loss of
0.5dB. The form factor of 5.5x22x48mm, along with the PCB mountable interface,
accommodates easy integration into complicated optical systems. The series
also features insertion loss repeatability of <?0.02dB and low
crosstalk of <-70dB. The LT210
family is designed for use in configurable optical Add/Drop Multiplexers,
optical cross-connect systems, optical system performance monitoring, protection
subsystems and portable test and measurement equipment. LIGHtech’s
LT210 meets Telcordia 1073 performance and reliability standards. It is also
designed to meet Telcordia 1221 performance and reliability standards. The latching
mechanical function enables the lightpath to remain intact when input power is off. The
wavelength windows from 1280nm to 1340nm and from 1520nm to 1580nm are
available. LIGHTech supplies fiberoptic switching products to major telecom and datacom systems providers and end-users in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Our production facility in San Leandro, California (ISO 9001 certification completed 11/99) and our manufacturing partner in China ensure that we can ship stock components, integrated modules, and systems to meet demanding specification, delivery and cost objectives.
